Can please some one tell me how you can make a link between tow things in MS DOS. In this case I want to make a link between a product and a nummer (1-9).
For example: The nummer 29 is a Sprite. I want to make a DOS program in which when I press 29 and I see a Sprite at the screen appears.

Right click the link and select “save file as” or “save link as” and save the .pdf file to your computer, then open it in a PDF reader like Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader. (both of those are free)

This is a good book to learn from the beginning. I found it while attempting to help someone with no coding experience. He learned a lot from it.

As far as “to the end” I couldn’t tell you where to go next. And how to do it for free? That’s an even harder question. I try to find free books but I can’t always find exactly what everyone needs in order to learn how to do everything, and at every level.

I learned programming batch files in 1983,,using an IBM PCjr..dot matrix and color monitor,,,,IBM had free computer classes if you purchased their complete pc packaging..I had 6 months of weekend 8 hr class on batch programming, dos commands, dos basic programming,dbase 2 fortran programming, modem connection, Lotus 123, Dollars & Sense, IBM Writing Assistance (word document) and other computer software..which I can’t remember..
I remember at the dos prompt typing in Copy Con..and would begin my batch file programming,,I could create a menu in different colors,varibles,goto, etc commands and do file back ups and to save the programmed file..I think you would do a control v or c ..don’t remember now ..I threw all my books from IBM away..later we did edit commands to create and save..
this basic training gave me access to learning C,turbo,dbase advanced, machine and many other programming languages which I used at work and at home..
